IFPI takes AI-song rules to 20+ charts

IFPI is extending AI-song eligibility rules through more than 20 additional official chart programs, on top of the charts it directly manages across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. The recording-industry body’s rollout says an AI-assisted track must be substantially human-made, use authorized services, disclose AI use, and avoid manipulation concerns to qualify. For creative-tool builders watching AI music become a mainstream consumer product, provenance is moving from a metadata nicety toward a gate on commercial recognition.
