HiddenLayer puts five controls around coding agents

HiddenLayer launched Agent Harness Security with 5 control layers—visibility, control, validation, monitoring, and governance—for coding agents that can read files, run commands, and alter repositories. Its security framework for coding-agent harnesses treats prompts, tools, skills, MCP servers, and orchestration as one attack surface, while the product announcement says enforcement can detect, redact, block, or steer agent activity through native hooks. Teams already measuring the harness as part of coding-agent performance should file away the matching security implication: model approval alone does not govern what an agent can see or execute.
