OLIX raises $312M for photonic inference

OLIX raised a $312 million Series B at a $3.3 billion valuation to fund its first customer inference racks for the second half of 2027, the company announced. Its DX-1 decode accelerator promises more than 10,000 tokens per second per user on 100-billion-parameter models while avoiding advanced packaging and high-bandwidth memory, two bottlenecks examined in the fragile AI-compute supply chain. Operators should treat the specification as an unverified roadmap, but the financing shows how much capital will chase architectures that route around scarce HBM.
