AMD doubles data-center revenue to $6.7B

AMD’s data-center revenue reached $6.7 billion in the second quarter, up 107% year over year and equal to 58% of the chipmaker’s record $11.5 billion total. The company’s August 4 results attribute the increase to EPYC CPU and Instinct GPU demand, with Helios rack deployments beginning to scale. For operators following AMD’s $5 billion bid to turn Anthropic into an Instinct customer, the mix matters more than the headline: AMD is no longer primarily a PC story, but the filing still does not separate AI-accelerator sales from server CPUs.
