ChatGPT turns 10K-character pastes into files
ChatGPT Enterprise and Education now convert pastes above 10,000 characters into attachments instead of placing them directly in the composer. OpenAI says the change prevents one large paste from consuming the entire context window, completing a rollout already available on other plans while preserving an option to move the text back into the prompt. For teams comparing models after Claude Opus 4.7’s coding gains and research regression, the small interface rule is worth filing away: attachment ingestion and direct-prompt context are no longer equivalent defaults, so evaluation prompts should specify which path testers use.
