JIJ raises $5.2M for optimization agents

JIJ raised ¥840 million, about $5.2 million, to expand its AI-enabled mathematical-optimization platform, enterprise deployments, and quantum middleware. The company’s funding announcement says its JijZept AI beta lets agents iteratively define requirements, build mathematical models, and run numerical experiments, building on more than 60 use cases across industries including energy, manufacturing, and logistics. For operators watching AI become the software layer around quantum systems, the near-term signal is less quantum advantage than demand for agents that translate messy planning constraints into auditable optimization models.
