Obsidian raises $85M for agent security

Obsidian Security raised an $85 million Series D at a $1.1 billion valuation, with the company saying 60 Fortune 500 businesses use its agent-security platform. Obsidian also says nonhuman identities outnumber human identities 144 to 1 inside third-party applications and more than 70% of its customers already let agents into those apps, sharpening the identity problem behind the case for policy enforcement inside agent harnesses. Operators should file the round as evidence that runtime controls are becoming a funded security category, while treating the adoption figures as vendor-reported rather than independent proof of efficacy.
