Klaviyo buys Agency after its $32M raise

Klaviyo agreed to acquire Agency after the AI customer-success startup raised $32 million, bringing its 25-person team into a CRM that serves more than 205,000 paying customers. Klaviyo’s announcement says the deal, expected to close in the third quarter, covers Agency’s software and intellectual property; TechCrunch reports that terms were not disclosed. The move reinforces the distribution thesis behind OpenAI’s acquisition of Ona for persistent Codex work: specialized agent teams may create more leverage inside platforms that already own customer context and routes to market.
