AWS lifts Lambda bandwidth to 3,000 Mbps

AWS raised the network ceiling for eligible Lambda functions from 625 Mbps to 3,000 Mbps, a 4.8-fold increase for memory configurations scaling from 2 GB to 10 GB. AWS’s launch notice says the no-cost quota applies to functions outside a VPC and targets latency-sensitive jobs moving up to several terabytes from external sources. Teams adopting stateless infrastructure for remote agent workloads should file away the constraint shift: serverless preprocessing and inference endpoints can now buy substantially more network throughput with memory before requiring a different runtime.
