Envision designs a 2GW campus for 1M accelerators
Envision commissioned the first phase of a Ulanqab AI campus designed to scale beyond 2 gigawatts and support up to 1 million accelerators inside a 120,000-square-meter supercomputing building, according to the company’s Galaxy Campus announcement. Envision says the full build-out targets 1 million PFLOPS and up to ten times the compute output per square meter of conventional data centers, powered through dedicated renewable generation, transmission, and storage. Operators comparing it with Naver’s proposed 200MW sovereign AI factory should treat those figures as design capacity, not delivered utilization, but file away the architecture: power generation and compute are becoming one product.
