Kyndryl's hyperscaler revenue grows 34%

Kyndryl’s hyperscaler-related revenue passed $530 million in its fiscal first quarter, up 34% year over year even as total revenue fell 3% to $3.618 billion, according to the company’s August 5 earnings release. That cloud-linked stream is now at least 14.6% of quarterly revenue, while Kyndryl also launched AI Orchestration for Business and an agentic capability in Kyndryl Bridge. The divergence reinforces the procurement lesson in Amazon’s capacity-build economics: enterprises are still paying specialists to modernize around hyperscalers, but operators should demand workload-level returns rather than mistake fast cloud-adjacent growth for company-wide growth.
