Taiwan fields a three-drone AI swarm in three months

Taiwan’s NCSIST integrated Shield AI’s Hivemind into three Mighty Hornet III drones in under three months, then demonstrated an autonomous coordinated search around a no-fly zone. Shield AI says the software has piloted more than 30 platform types, but the more durable signal is transfer: Taiwanese engineers learned to operate and extend the system independently, the sovereign-control constraint that also shapes Zoox’s tightly bounded path to commercial autonomy. Buyers of physical AI should score how quickly their own engineers can own the integration, not only how polished the vendor’s demonstration looks.
