SoftBank gave $50M before Ohio's 10GW deal

SoftBank disclosed a $50 million donation to the Trump Presidential Library made two months before the administration announced its federal-land agreement for a 10-gigawatt Ohio AI campus. SoftBank’s August 6 response says it made the January contribution without a commitment or expectation of government action, while the Energy Department’s project fact sheet lists 10 GW of data centers, at least 9.2 GW of gas generation, and $4.2 billion of transmission. Infrastructure operators should add political-contribution disclosure and federal-lease provenance to diligence alongside the power, water, and ownership proof now demanded by Texas’s 474 GW data-center audit.
