Suno adds two checks against AI-music spam

Suno will add two identification layers—audio watermarking and fingerprinting—in the coming weeks, alongside a new download policy intended to curb mass distribution of AI-generated tracks. In its responsible-music roadmap, the company says the marks will resist tampering without changing the listening experience, while its updated guidelines ban spam, fake engagement, bots, and deceptive audio. For music platforms and rights teams, the practical test is whether those signals survive export and reach distributors reliably; Suno’s move adds provenance controls that were absent when our Suno v4.5 review assessed its longer-song production leap.
