GitHub splits Copilot usage by third-party agent
GitHub’s Copilot usage metrics API now breaks third-party agent activity out across four report scopes—enterprise, organization, enterprise-user, and organization-user—in both 1-day and 28-day reports. The GitHub changelog adds a per-agent array with stable IDs and user-initiated job counts, while aggregated reports also include session counts. Teams managing the review bottleneck behind GitHub’s agent-ready stacked pull requests can now compare Claude, Codex, and other agent rollouts by observed adoption instead of treating every automated job as one Copilot bucket.
