GitHub puts Copilot cost beside PR output
GitHub’s Copilot impact dashboard now puts three figures beside each adoption cohort: monthly cost per developer, that cost as a share of payroll, and pull requests per developer per month. The GitHub changelog says estimates use actual AI-credit consumption plus a selectable salary band, and now count every active user across the full 28-day reporting window. Teams confronting coding-agent harness costs that vary by more than the model label should treat this as directional instrumentation—not proof of productivity—because PR volume still says nothing about review time, escaped defects, or business value.
