HD Hyundai wins $673.8M data-center order

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries won a $673.8 million order from Corban Energy Group for 1,000 MW of U.S. data-center generation, its largest power-engine contract to date. HD Hyundai says the order uses 9.6 MW HiMSEN engines for continuous operation and follows a separate $425 million data-center equipment agreement signed in April. For operators confronting the growing proof burden around data-center power plans, the contract is another sign that on-site generation is moving onto the critical path—along with its fuel, emissions, permitting, and maintenance liabilities.
