Aureka raises $100M for a biology model

Aureka Biotechnologies closed a $100 million Series B to train biological foundation models and expand its Lab-in-the-Loop experimental system, bringing its total funding to nearly $200 million, according to the company’s financing announcement. The company says its closed loop combines AI agents, proprietary single-cell screening, and high-throughput validation to generate data for model training, while its open-source OpenDDE model has been evaluated on antibody–antigen structure prediction. For scientific-AI builders, the durable fact is the capital shift toward model-plus-lab systems rather than standalone claims—a pattern also visible in the archive’s wet-lab pilot analysis.
