Corma raises $60M for defensive cyber AI
Corma emerged from stealth with a $60 million seed round led by Sequoia Capital, joined by Khosla Ventures and Coatue, to build foundation models for defensive cybersecurity. In the founder’s announcement, Corma says it already protects Fortune 100 companies; secondary coverage of the round reports the startup’s simulated attackers succeeded 88% of the time while defenders detected 12%, plus company-claimed response-time and coverage gains that still need independent testing. Security teams applying agent-governance controls to cyber systems should file the financing as a bet on specialized defense models, not evidence that an autonomous security workforce is production-ready.
