Dimensions puts 430M records behind MCP

Digital Science launched two Model Context Protocol servers for Dimensions, including an analytics integration spanning more than 430 million interconnected records across publications, grants, patents, clinical trials, datasets and policy documents. The launch announcement says existing Dimensions API customers can connect without an additional license, giving research and pharmaceutical teams a structured-data route for agent discovery, funding intelligence and competitive analysis. It is a useful complement to stateless MCP infrastructure: the protocol matters less than whether the connected source is current, licensed and auditable.
