FM buys physics-based wildfire AI

FM acquired FortressFire, whose wildfire-intelligence platform combines machine learning with physics-based modeling and assesses ignition risk at the individual-property level. The acquisition announcement says terms were not disclosed; FortressFire’s AMP platform—Assess, Mitigate, Monitor, Protect—combines aerial reports, monitoring, analytics, ground inspections and mitigation assessments, while FM says its owners include one of every four Fortune 500 companies.
