AMIE tests 300 video consultations
Google’s AMIE (Video) matched board-certified primary-care physicians across core clinical competencies in a randomized study of 300 simulated video consultations spanning 100 scenarios. The Google Research report says 15 patient actors and 30 physicians took part, while also stressing that the system has not yet been tested with real patients; healthcare builders should file this as a multimodal-evaluation milestone, not a deployment clearance. The result extends the archive’s case for keeping health AI behind a clinical evidence gate: video perception adds signal, but simulation still has to yield to real-world safety data.
