Zoom patches an AI-assisted flaw rated 8.3

Zoom patched CVE-2026-53413, a high-severity client vulnerability with an 8.3 CVSS score, after A Security said it found the issue using fewer than 20 prompts on public AI models in under 24 hours. Zoom’s security bulletin tells users to update supported Workplace clients before versions 7.1.5 and 7.0.6, while the researchers’ disclosure says Zoom fixed clients across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android before publication. Security teams should file the number as a defensive deadline: AI-assisted vulnerability discovery is now fast enough that patch inventory, not exploit novelty, is the immediate control, extending the archive’s case for runtime security around agents.
