Accel raises $3.5B across four AI funds

Accel has raised $3.5 billion across four funds for early-stage investing in the United States, Europe, Israel, and India, including a $1.35 billion vehicle for larger initial checks and follow-ons. In its fundraise announcement, Accel says the vehicles are designed to back founders from the outset; TechCrunch reports that the India fund alone reached $550 million and was oversubscribed within weeks. The operator signal is less “AI gets another mega-round” than a deeper seed pipeline for application and infrastructure companies, a capital tide that will test the financing stack behind AI factories.
