Cognition talks $40B valuation for Devin
Cognition is in early talks for a funding round that could value its Devin coding-agent business at at least $40 billion, more than 50% above its roughly three-month-old $26 billion mark, Silicon Republic reports. The report says Cognition’s annualized revenue run rate is nearing $1 billion, roughly twice its level at the last raise, although the company may not complete a new round. Teams evaluating autonomous software work should treat the number as a capital signal rather than a capability verdict and keep measuring merged output, review time, and defect rates against the archive’s account of Cognition’s persistent-memory bet.
