Bitdeer lands a $4.7B AI data-center lease

Bitdeer says it has signed a 16-year, $4.7 billion AI/HPC lease with Volta for its Tydal, Norway site, where 121 IT megawatts will be configured for NVIDIA GPUs serving an unnamed leading AI lab. The official second-quarter release lists phase one at 66.5 megawatts and an indicative Q4 2026 ready-for-service date, with later phases extending into 2027; the operator signal is that bitcoin-mining campuses are being repriced as contracted AI infrastructure, adding a major capital-stack precedent for AI factories while delivery timing remains a risk.
