Fractal puts Vaidya.ai in Mumbai health chat

Fractal has launched a beta Vaidya.ai chatbot on WhatsApp for Mumbai’s BMC public-health network, which the company says handles 16.8 million outpatient visits and more than 3 million lab reports a year. The Aug. 14 announcement says the free multilingual service can summarize lab reports, locate facilities, and provide health information, while Vaidya.ai scored above 50 on OpenAI’s HealthBench Hard; clinical decisions remain with qualified professionals. Health builders should treat this as a scale-and-governance pilot, not a clinical approval, in the same evidence-first spirit as AMIE’s simulated consultation test.
