AI campaign hit 12 Taiwan attack waves
A reported July campaign against Taiwan ran through 12 attack waves, reaching a government email system, the country’s nuclear-safety agency, IT suppliers, and at least seven energy companies, according to The Register’s Black Hat report. The same report distinguishes those incidents from separate U.S. water-utility intrusions, for which it says there is no evidence of AI use. Defenders should file the episode alongside the archive’s case for specialized cyber-model routing: raise isolation, logging, and patching standards for autonomous tools without turning a reported incident into an attack playbook.
