Applied Materials posts a $9.12B AI quarter

Applied Materials posted $9.12 billion in third-quarter revenue, up 25% year over year, while its Semiconductor Systems segment reached $7.04 billion and management said demand is especially strong in DRAM, leading-edge logic, and advanced packaging. The company’s results release also describes six new systems for HBM and packaging plus a $500 million Singapore campus expansion. For builders, the useful signal is upstream: the AI hardware cycle is still paying not only GPU designers but the process tools that make memory, chiplets, and advanced packages manufacturable—an extension of the HBM capacity race already breaking ground in Indiana.
