Unitree IPO draws 8,000x retail demand
Unitree Robotics’ Shanghai IPO drew more than 8,000× oversubscription from retail investors after the humanoid maker priced the offering to raise about 6.1 billion yuan ($905 million) at roughly a $9 billion valuation. Reuters’ report says Unitree reported nearly 1.7 billion yuan of 2025 revenue, about 600 million yuan of adjusted profit, and more than 5,500 humanoid robots shipped; CNBC’s prospectus account notes that U.S. sales were 13.3% of revenue. Robotics operators should file the offering as a market-confidence signal with geopolitical exposure, not as proof that humanoids have cleared the commercial reliability test, alongside the archive’s five-city robotaxi operations case.
