Kai emerges with $125M for machine-speed defense
Kai emerged from stealth with $125 million in funding, and the agentic cybersecurity company says it generated more than seven figures in bookings during its first 10 months after writing its first line of code, according to its announcement. The company says its platform unifies threat intelligence, exposure management, detection, and response across IT and OT, with early customers in energy, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and hospitality. Security leaders should file the traction claim as a diligence prompt—not a replacement for evidence—alongside California’s agency-level AI cyber-defense ownership model: ask which actions are autonomous, what gets logged, and what happens when the agent is wrong.
