Alibaba opens a 64-card AI supernode

Alibaba Cloud has put its 64-card Lingjun Zhenwu M890 supernode on commercial sale, giving Chinese customers online access to a tightly coupled unit built on domestic silicon rather than a preconfigured model instance. The launch report says each accelerator carries 144GB of HBM and the system offers up to 800GB/s of inter-chip bandwidth, though availability is currently limited to Inner Mongolia and pricing is undisclosed. The move gives operators a new sovereign alternative to imported rack-scale systems, but Naver’s 200MW factory economics remain the better benchmark for judging the infrastructure bill.
