Amazon Prime Air targets nearly 500 cities
Amazon says Prime Air will reach nearly 500 U.S. cities and towns by the end of 2026, a sixfold expansion from its current footprint, with deliveries as fast as 30 minutes. The company’s expansion announcement says the service has already delivered hundreds of thousands of packages this year; TechCrunch’s report notes that eligible orders are generally 5 pounds or less, with non-Prime customers paying $4.99. Builders tracking physical-AI capital concentrating in autonomy should file this as a distribution test: autonomous logistics is moving from isolated pilots toward a national operating footprint, but the economics still depend on dense enough demand at each site.
