GitHub shares Copilot agents in Teams
GitHub put shared Copilot cloud-agent sessions in Microsoft Teams public preview across three entry points—channels, threads, and direct messages—so participants can steer the same coding task and users with repository write access can trigger changes, according to GitHub’s announcement. Sessions consume AI credits, cloud sandbox usage is billed separately, and repository administrators can require an extra approval for pull requests created through the integration. Teams adopting GitHub’s pull-request control plane should treat the chat surface as another agent entry point, not as a shortcut around review policy.
