HexSeed raises £600k for AI power cooling
HexSeed Technology raised more than £600,000 to move a low-temperature diamond-coating process for finished gallium-nitride power devices from laboratory demonstration toward commercial hardware and pilot customers, according to Semiconductor Today’s funding report. The startup says the coating pulls heat from active regions so GaN devices can run harder, last longer, and use less energy; operators should file this as a lab-to-data-center power-conversion milestone—not yet a proven PUE reduction—alongside the archive’s analysis of AI grid access.
