LinkedIn's AI slop button passes 1M clicks
LinkedIn says members have clicked its “Seems like AI slop” report control more than one million times, while posts the platform classifies as AI slop are receiving 40% fewer views, according to The Verge’s report. That is a new outcome from the button announced July 30, not a second count of the earlier finding that Pangram flagged 41% of LinkedIn long-form posts as fully AI-generated. Publishers and growth teams should file the update as a distribution rule: synthetic sameness now has an engagement cost, extending the archive’s analysis of LinkedIn’s detection tax.
