Micro1 reaches a $500M data run rate

Micro1’s gross annual run rate grew from $100 million to $500 million in eight months as frontier labs and corporations bought expert-generated AI training data, according to TechCrunch’s report. The company retains roughly 60% to 70% of gross revenue, implying a $150 million–$200 million net annual run rate, and says some reusable synthetic datasets reach 80% to 90% gross margins. AI teams should file the number as evidence that data supply—not only GPU supply—is becoming a funded layer of the stack, alongside the archive’s open-weight training economics, while checking provenance and resale rights before treating “unique” data as a moat.
