Omacom puts $8M behind Omarchy

The new Omacom Foundation has secured $8 million from eight founding patrons, each committing $1 million to fund Omarchy’s infrastructure, trademarks, and dependent open-source developers, according to the foundation’s launch announcement. The backers include leaders from Shopify, Stripe, Dell, Block, Cloudflare, Sesame, and 37signals, plus Omarchy creator David Heinemeier Hansson. Developers who want an agent-first desktop should file this as a durability signal—not proof of enterprise readiness—alongside the archive’s earlier look at Omarchy’s Linux bet.
