AWS brings managed Ray to HyperPod

Amazon SageMaker HyperPod now manages Ray clusters on EKS, with Studio controls for notebooks, dashboards, hung-job detection, node recovery, and tiered checkpointing, according to AWS’s launch post. AWS also provisions four managed Grafana dashboards for Ray Core, Data, Train, and Serve. The integration keeps standard Ray APIs and open-source KubeRay workflows while adding KV-cache offload for long-context serving. Teams running distributed training should file the release as a reduction in cluster plumbing—not a reason to skip failure testing—alongside the archive’s account of AI infrastructure’s growing capital burden.
