Neuron puts an AI controller in paid pilots

Y Combinator-backed Neuron Industries launched the Cortex AIC, an AI industrial controller now in paid customer pilots, according to the company’s launch announcement. The controller combines a Python runtime, operator interface, process-data logging, plain-English logic generation, digital-twin validation and air-gapped operation; Neuron says legacy PLCs have about 1,000 times less compute and memory than a smartphone. Industrial builders should file the product as an attempt to bring software-style iteration into control systems—not as permission to put generated logic on live machinery without deterministic simulation and safety review—alongside the archive’s physical-AI funding analysis.
