SpaceXAI adopts Vera CPU for agentic AI
SpaceXAI will deploy NVIDIA Vera CPUs for the orchestration, code execution, data processing, and simulation around its next generation of agentic workloads, while planning an orbital Starmind system based on an optimized Vera Rubin NVL72 rack, according to NVIDIA’s announcement. NVIDIA claims Vera’s 88 Olympus cores and 1.2TB/s memory bandwidth deliver up to 1.8x faster task completion than x86 across agentic AI, reinforcement learning, and data-processing workloads. Infrastructure teams should read the move as a bet that agent throughput will be constrained by CPU-side coordination as well as GPU inference, alongside the archive’s account of photonics as the next AI-factory bottleneck.
