Nvidia doubles Jetson edge inference

Nvidia’s Jetson Orin Nano 2 delivers 78 TOPS of edge AI compute—Nvidia says 2x the inference performance of the Orin Nano Super—and uses 40% less power at 15 watts, according to The Robot Report’s hardware report. The compact module keeps the existing software stack and targets drones, delivery bots, and robots, but the module and developer kit are not due until the first half of 2027. Robotics builders can keep today’s Jetson software investment while budgeting for a substantial edge-performance jump, extending the archive’s analysis of physical-AI funding and deployment.
