Legato puts $12M behind AI hearing glasses

Legato emerged from stealth with $12 million to build Legato Frames, AI hearing glasses that separate voices from background noise, according to TechCrunch’s report on the launch. The company is targeting mild-to-moderate hearing loss and says the frames should launch through eye-care providers later this fall; it claims sound leakage falls 99% a few inches from the wearer’s ear. The product is a useful signal for the archive’s case for audio-first AI hardware: the next wearable contest may be won by solving an old sensory problem, not by adding another chatbot screen.
