Cloud Run prices a persistent agent at $5.70

Google Cloud introduced Cloud Run instances and prices a continuously running 1-vCPU, 1-GiB runtime at $5.70 for 30 days, with up to a 7-day continuous runtime before an automatic restart; its launch post positions the preview for stateful personal agents such as OpenClaw. The bargain is for low-duty-cycle workloads, not inference-heavy services: shared vCPU and burst budgets keep the sticker price low, while the seven-day ceiling still makes persistence a restart-and-state problem. Teams moving an agent off a laptop should benchmark this against a VM and keep durable state outside the instance, the same separation emphasized in the archive’s pilot gate for a dedicated agent runtime.
