Meta puts 100% of Polish finance ads through ID checks

Meta is rolling out an upgraded AI scam-detection system in Poland and says it has already cut user reports tied to commonly abused public images by more than 80%, according to the company’s Polish announcement about its anti-fraud measures. It will also require identity verification from 100% of financial-services advertisers targeting Poland, after reporting an 83% fall in scam-ad reports from July 2024 through June 2026 and 137,000 scam ads removed in the following year, 88% before user reports. For builders, the move is a reminder that platform anti-fraud systems are shifting from generic classifiers toward identity and advertiser-level controls, much like OpenAI’s 20% compute tax for safety monitoring.
