QuEra's laser agent clears 695 of 700 trials

QuEra says an AI controller recovered a quantum-computer laser lock in 695 of 700 timed trials, clearing most faults in under six seconds versus five to 10 minutes for an expert. In QuEra’s results, Anthropic’s Claude ran experiments through the Model Hardware Standard, cut residual noise fivefold, and transferred its controller to a second laser wavelength overnight; the resulting software is an inspectable deterministic program, not a model making runtime decisions. Teams building reproducibility-first scientific agents should file this as a bounded automation result: the five misses and testbed-specific setup still matter more than the headline autonomy claim.
