NEC opens Claude to 120,000 employees

NEC put Claude Cowork on Amazon Bedrock into production for a workforce of up to 120,000 people after two weeks of build time, and AWS’s case study says 11,000 employees were using it by August 18. The design kept inference, audit trails, and cost controls inside Japan, while quantitative business impact remains unmeasured. File this as evidence that residency and governance can be launch requirements rather than retrofit work, alongside Claude’s shared-memory re-brief tax.
