Apate.AI raises $8.15M to fight scams

Apate.AI raised US$8.15 million in seed funding as it expands its scam-intelligence platform from Australia into the United States. Startup Daily reports that the company uses conversational voice and text agents to engage fraudsters; Commonwealth Bank has run more than 2.5 million autonomous conversations and extracted 250,000 intelligence artifacts. For builders of fraud and trust tooling, runtime controls for coding agents are only one side of defense: budgets should also cover adversarial intelligence that changes detection before victims are hit.
