Broadcom builds a three-layer agent control stack

Broadcom unveiled AgentMinder alongside VMware vDefend and Avi Load Balancer as a 3-layer control stack for agentic AI running in private clouds. Broadcom’s VMware Explore announcement says the products discover AI components, bind each agent to a declared mission and approved tools, and enforce policy on every tool invocation. Builders moving from chatbots to agents that can change systems should demand identity and least-privilege controls at the tool boundary from day one; the paper’s shrinking disclosure window shows why post-incident visibility is too slow.
