Corvex takes AI capacity fivefold to 8MW
Corvex plans to expand critical IT capacity from roughly 1.5 MW to 8 MW by year-end 2026, a more-than-fivefold jump supporting about 3,000 latest-generation GPUs across two U.S. data centers, the company announced. A further 12.5 MW right of first refusal could push total capacity above 20 MW in 2027, but only if capital, customers, equipment, utility energization, and permitting arrive. Operators tracking Nvidia’s hyperscaler capex concentration should read this as another signal that energized buildings—not raw GPU inventory—set deployment speed.
